While Mississippi may be cursed with the possibility for year round heat, we are also blessed with the opportunity to mix refreshing cocktails year round. With spring closing in we selected a few cocktails thought up throughout the Southeast who have made some refreshing and sweet cocktails from Cathead’s honey infused vodka, made in downtown Jackson.
The Honey Bubble is a sweet twist on the French 75, a drink known for its potency and a favorite of Writer Earnest Hemingway. The Earl Grey Gardens was invented by Kimberly Patton-Bragg, of the now shuttered New Orlean’s restaurant Tivoli and Lee, but the cocktail remains at the top of Cathead’s drink recommendations for a reason. Where the Crosswalk Ends is a nor frills take on the popular Moscow Mule and was concocted by James B. Groetzinger of Charleston’s the Warehouse. Finally, One of the more exotic selections on this list, the Bee Sting uses the sweet of the honeysuckle vodka to take some of the edge off the heat of sliced jalepenos.
